About Butterfly Plants for Poverty
Welcome to Butterfly Plants for Poverty, a 'not-for-profit' plant nursery. The nursery grew and sold special plants to help bring back the butterflies in Australia.
We encourage every family to develop a small section of their garden to attract butterflies – and to make our world a better place. Bringing back the butterflies is a beautiful way of improving the environmental health of our country.
This entire nursery project wais operated by unpaid volunteers and 100% of the profit generated from plant sales went directly to help ‘the poorest of the poor’. These are people who struggle to just survive, literally, as they work hard for extremely low wages.
100% of the profits from our nursery helped these struggling people to establish small businesses with the use of micro-loans and skills training.
How can I help?
